AirPlay & AirServer Guide

AirPlay & AirServer work in conjunction with each other and will allow a mirrored display feed from your iOS device to be sent to the college computer you select that has AirServer installed This will then allow the devices display feed to be shown via the projector Mirroring is only possible on iPhone 4S or newer, iPod Touch 5 or newer iPad mini (all models), and iPad 2nd generation or newer To be able to mirror via Airplay/AirServer, the device must be part of our Meraki Mobile Device Management System This will then allow the device access to the private staff WI-FI network which AirPlay and AirServer operate on If your device is not part of the Meraki Mobile Device Management System please follow the instructions in the iPad MDM Guide or contact the ITHelpdesk

	AirServer starts automatically when you log into a college computer with an attached projector and once you attempt to connect an iOS device the system will automatically display a pairing code that needs to be input into the iOS device
	If you are using iOS 7 or iOS 8, you can connect to AirServer via AirPlay from your iOS device by following the steps below:
	Swipe up from the bottom of your screen with your finger to access the Control Center menu Tap the AirPlay icon If there is no Airplay icon shown disconnect then reconnect your Wi-Fi signal & make sure you are connected to the "e1884c" private Wi-Fi network
	You should now see a list of AirPlay enabled computers available on the network The  AirPlay enabled computers will only show up if you are logged onto the computer you want to connect to
	Tap the name of the computer you wish to send the iPad screen to
	To begin sending your iPad screen toggle the mirroring switch
	Then enter the code displayed on the computer screen You will only need to do this once per log on session
	This is how the code will appear on your computer screen after you toggle the mirroring option
	To end the session Tap the AirPlay icon and select "iPad" at the top of the AirPlay enabled computers list This will end the session
